Find Out How You Can Participate in the Biodiesel Jatropha Industry
Currently, The Costa Rica Seed Company and United Biofuels of America (UBA) has begun The 1,000,000 Gallon Challenge to meet US government and regional contracts for Jatropha Crude Oil (JCO). This will require significant plantation development to ensure feedstock to Biofuel capacity for these contracts. This project will require over 800,000 hectares of Jatropha plantation development over the next 5 years.
This represents approximately 2,000,000 gallons per day production when operations are at full capacity.
Through The UBA Consortium, Investors have a cost effective, state of the art, innovative, jatropha oil farming, production, and processing business.
- UBA has created a system whereby investors are guaranteed to be stock suppliers. These are yielding assets, there is demand for what is yielded, and these assets deliver ROI every year.
- UBA is offering investors a viable consortium structure of growers and processors, with a natural built in need for future Genetic Micro Stems (GMS) sales for participants, and guaranteed oil and byproducts buying source.
Why Invest in Jatropha Plantations?
All market research shows Biofuel will be the largest growth market over the next 10 years
All market research show Jatropha seed as the #1 feedstock for Biofuel.
From: Gexsi Global Market Study
Jatropha will see enormous growth: 5 million hectares are expected by 2010 The number and size of Jatropha projects currently being developed is increasing sharply. This is the case in almost all regions of the world which are suitable for Jatropha cultivation. It is predicted that each year for the next 5-7 years approximately 1.5 to 2 million hectares of Jatropha will be planted. This will result in a total of approximately 5 million hectares by 2010 and approximately 13 million hectares by 2015.
Bullets:
The Jatropha industry is in a very early stage of development
Nevertheless, approximately 900,000 hectares of Jatropha have already
been planted
Jatropha will see enormous growth: 5 million hectares are expected by 2010
Global investments of up to 1 billion USD expected every year
The Jatropha industry structure will transform dramatically
Smallholder farmers play a vital role in most Jatropha projects
Jatropha has not led to a reduction in food production
Jatropha has not contributed to the destruction of primary forest
Political support for Jatropha is already strong, and developing further
Production is focused on domestic markets
Carbon credits are not yet an issue for the majority of projects
Jatropha bi-product sub value-chains are currently valued higher than than biofuel - an untapped market
A wave of large scale investments especially from oil majors are expected in the near future. The joint venture company D1-BP Fuel Crops of BP and D1 Oils in 2007 was the first indication of this trend. Now major oil companies e.g. in China are devising their market entry.
It is expected that the industry structure will change dramatically in the next few years, with large (multi-)national energy and oil companies entering the field, driven by climbing crude oil prices and pursuing the quest for larger volumes of alternative and sustainable feedstock.
World Biodiesel Production & Capacity
Although bio-fuel is not the ultimate solution to the energy challenges currently facing the world, it is part of the overall solution. This is an especially important consideration because biodiesel fuel not only stretches finite supplies of conventional fuel, but also restores the land it initially grows on and does not displace more viable agricultural land along with requiring minimal water inputs. You may also intercrop. From 2008 through 2020, a series of transitions in the biodiesel industry will create producers that will have the innovative capabilities to evolve and adapt to transitions in technology, markets, feedstock and policies.
